Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") define the conditions for using the services provided by MysteryLog (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") on this website. Registered users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") shall use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Article 1 (Application)

  1. These Terms shall apply to all relationships between Users and the Service regarding the use of the Service.
  2. The Service may establish various rules and regulations (hereinafter referred to as "Individual Provisions") in addition to these Terms. These Individual Provisions shall constitute part of these Terms regardless of their designation.
  3. If the provisions of these Terms conflict with the Individual Provisions mentioned in the previous paragraph, the Individual Provisions shall take precedence unless otherwise specified.

Article 2 (User Registration)

  1. In this Service, user registration is completed when a prospective registrant agrees to these Terms, applies for user registration according to the method prescribed by the Service, and the Service approves such application.
  2. The Service may refuse to approve an application for user registration if it determines that the applicant has any of the following circumstances, and shall have no obligation to disclose the reasons for such refusal.

Article 3 (Management of User ID and Password)

  1. Users shall properly manage their User ID and password for the Service at their own responsibility.
  2. Users may not transfer, lend, or share their User ID and password with third parties under any circumstances. The Service shall consider login with a combination of User ID and password that matches the registered information as use by the User who registered that User ID.
  3. The Service shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of User ID and password by third parties, except in cases where the Service has intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 4 (Usage Fees and Payment Method)

  1. Users shall pay the usage fees determined separately by the Service and displayed on this website as consideration for the paid portions of the Service, using the payment method specified by the Service.
  2. If Users delay payment of usage fees, they shall pay late fees at an annual rate of 14.6%.

Article 5 (Prohibited Acts)

Users shall not engage in the following acts when using the Service.

  1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Acts related to criminal activities
  3. Impersonation (accessing or using services by impersonating other Users)
  4. Acts that infringe on copyrights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights included in the Service content
  5. Acts that destroy or interfere with the functions of servers or networks of the Service, other Users, or other third parties
  6. Acts of commercial use of information obtained through the Service
  7. Acts that may interfere with the operation of the Service
  8. Acts of unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  9. Acts of impersonating other Users
  10. Advertising, promotion, solicitation, or business activities on the Service without authorization
  11. Acts aimed at meeting unfamiliar members of the opposite sex
  12. Acts that directly or indirectly provide benefits to antisocial forces in connection with the Service
  13. Other acts deemed inappropriate by the Service
  14. Unauthorized posting of derivative works or posting of content without permission from copyright holders
  15. Posting AI-generated content without permission from copyright holders

Article 5-2 (User-Generated Content Policy)

The Service maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. The following types of user-generated content are strictly prohibited:

  1. Hate speech, discriminatory language, or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
  2. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, or threats directed at other users
  3. Violent, graphic, or excessively disturbing content
  4. Sexually explicit or pornographic content
  5. Content promoting self-harm or suicide
  6. Misinformation or deliberately misleading content
  7. Spam, phishing, or fraudulent content
  8. Content that violates the privacy of others

Users may report objectionable content or abusive users through the reporting feature available in the app. Users may also block abusive users to prevent further interaction. The Service commits to reviewing and acting on all reports of objectionable content within 24 hours. Upon confirmation of a violation, the offending content will be immediately removed and the user responsible may have their account suspended or permanently deleted at the sole discretion of the Service.

Article 6 (Suspension of Service Provision)

  1. The Service may suspend or interrupt all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users if it determines that any of the following circumstances exist.
  2. When conducting maintenance, inspection, or updates of computer systems related to the Service
  3. When it becomes difficult to provide the Service due to force majeure such as earthquakes, lightning, fires, power outages, or natural disasters
  4. When computers or communication lines stop due to accidents
  5. When the Service determines that it is difficult to provide the Service for other reasons
  6. The Service shall not be liable for any disadvantages or damages suffered by Users or third parties due to suspension or interruption of the Service.

Article 7 (Usage Restrictions and Registration Deletion)

  1. The Service may restrict all or part of a User's use of the Service or delete the User's registration without prior notice if the User falls under any of the following circumstances.
  2. Violation of any provision of these Terms
  3. Discovery that false information exists in registration details
  4. Non-performance of payment obligations for fees
  5. No response to communications from the Service for a certain period
  6. No use of the Service for a certain period from the last use
  7. Other cases where the Service determines that the User's use is inappropriate
  8. The Service shall not be liable for any damages caused to Users by actions taken based on this Article.

Article 8 (Withdrawal)

Users may withdraw from the Service through the withdrawal procedures specified by the Service.


Article 9 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Service does not guarantee, either explicitly or implicitly, that the Service is free from factual or legal defects (including defects, errors, bugs, security issues, and rights infringement related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, effectiveness, fitness for specific purposes, etc.).
  2. The Service shall not be liable for any damages caused to Users arising from the Service. However, this disclaimer shall not apply if the contract between the Service and Users regarding the Service (including these Terms) constitutes a consumer contract as defined by the Consumer Contract Act.
  3. Even in cases covered by the proviso of the previous paragraph, the Service shall not be liable for special damages (including cases where the Service or Users foresaw or could have foreseen the occurrence of damages) among damages caused to Users by breach of contract or tort due to the Service's negligence (excluding gross negligence). The compensation for damages caused to Users by breach of contract or tort due to the Service's negligence (excluding gross negligence) shall be limited to the amount of usage fees received from Users in the month when such damages occurred.

Article 10 (Changes to Service Content)

The Service may change the content of the Service or discontinue providing the Service without notice to Users, and shall not be liable for any damages caused to Users thereby.


Article 11 (Changes to Terms of Service)

The Service may change these Terms at any time without notice to Users when deemed necessary. When Users start using the Service after changes to these Terms, such Users shall be deemed to have agreed to the changed Terms. The change history of these Terms can be confirmed by the last update date recorded at the top of this page.


Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)

The Service shall appropriately handle personal information acquired through the use of the Service in accordance with the Service's "Privacy Policy."


Article 13 (Notices and Communications)

Notices and communications between Users and the Service shall be made according to methods prescribed by the Service. The Service shall consider the currently registered contact information as valid and send notices or communications to such contact information unless it receives notification of changes according to the format separately prescribed by the Service. These shall be deemed to have reached Users at the time of transmission.


Article 14 (Copyright and Trademark Rights)

Copyrights, trademark rights, and other intellectual property rights for all content provided on the Service (including text, images, audio, video, etc.) belong to the content providers or rights holders. Users may not use these contents (including reproduction, transmission, republication, modification, etc.) beyond the scope permitted by law.

The name "Real Escape Game" is a registered trademark of SCRAP Co., Ltd., and acts that infringe on these rights are prohibited.


Article 15 (User Content Posting and Copyright)

  1. Users guarantee that content posted to the Service does not infringe on copyrights or other third-party rights. If disputes arise with third parties regarding content posted by Users, Users shall resolve such disputes at their own responsibility and expense, and shall not cause any trouble or damage to the Service.
  2. Content that Users may post to the Service is limited to the following:
    1. Original content for which Users hold copyright
    2. Derivative content with explicit permission from copyright holders
    3. Public domain content
    4. Content including appropriate citations based on citation law
  3. Copyright for content posted by Users to the Service shall, in principle, belong to Users. However, by posting such content, Users grant the Service a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works, display, and perform such content solely for the purposes of providing, operating, and promoting the Service.
  4. The Service may use content posted by Users for the purposes of providing, improving, and promoting the Service. In doing so, the Service shall strive to respect the rights of posters and provide appropriate credit attribution.
  5. For AI-generated content, the following provisions apply:
    1. Compliance with AI tool terms of service
    2. Non-infringement of copyrights of materials used for generation
    3. Appropriate indication of AI usage
  6. Users shall not reproduce, republish, modify, sell, or perform other acts on content posted by other Users without explicit permission from copyright holders.
  7. If the Service is notified by third parties that content posted by Users infringes on copyrights or other rights, the Service may delete or restrict access to such content. In such cases, the Service may respond without prior notice, and Users shall promptly respond based on the Service's judgment.
  8. The Service has the right to modify or delete content posted by Users in cases of obvious errors or potential copyright infringement.

Article 16 (Prohibition of Transfer of Rights and Obligations)

Users may not transfer, assign, or use as collateral their position under the usage contract or rights and obligations under these Terms to third parties without prior written consent from the Service.


Article 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law.
  2. In case of disputes regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the Service's principal office location shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

Article 18 (Applications)

Campaigns in the Service are conducted independently by the Service and have no relationship with Apple Inc.

Article 19 (Copyright Infringement Reporting and Deletion Procedures)

Users may request deletion if they determine that their copyrights are being infringed on the Service by submitting the following information to the Service.

  1. Copyright holder's name and contact information
  2. Specific URL or identification information of content claimed to infringe copyright
  3. Information proving lack of permission from rights holders for use of such content
